  What made you want to become an actress?

  I did my first play when I was 7 and ever since then I wanted to tell stories. My parents were also dancers so I grew up on stage. :)

  How do you feel about Tara becoming a vampire?

  3 to 4 times a week. Pilates and yoga.

  How is it like to play a vampire? How do the fangs work?

  There is a whole new routine I have to do with putting the fangs in and out. Takes some getting used too. I had to pick an animal for myself to draw from and physically translate that with my body. Having a blast!!

  What were the biggest acting challenges for this transformation in Tara? What did you love about the change?

  Figuring out how Tara would talk, move, think. It's still tara but now she's got so much more power and strength to explore. I love vamp speeding all over the place. :)

  I see alot of myself in Tara as I have my own insecurities, but I don't go around telling people off. She's a wounded girl and I can relate to that. Of course I do have my sassy days.

  How did you land the role to be on True Blood?

  I auditioned in NY for Alan Ball then came out to Los Angeles for a final callback. Got the call while pulling out of a starbucks parking lot. Almost got into an accident I was so excited!!!
