    What is your training regimen like?

    Boxing in the morning, afterwards strength and conditioing. Evening cardio (running, biking, sprints, swimming, hiking, etc)

    Of the past years, who are your favorite fighters?

    Past years I would have to say Oscar De La Hoya, Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, Mayweather. It's quite a few but my favorite has to be Oscar.

    What have you focused on most in your training camp in preparation for Adrien?

    Being smart. Physically I'm always prepared, I train hard for every fighter. For this it's more mental, keeping my composure and always being smart.

    If you could take on any fighter, alive or dead, who would you fight?

    It would be nice to get in the ring with Oscar and Sugar Ray Leonard. Those are two of the big fighter that I've always liked.

    What do you think your biggest weapon in the ring is?

    I would say my mind. Just being very confident. When I want something really bad, I never fail. I think my biggest asset in the ring is my mind definitely.

    what advice do you have for young athletes pursuing their dreams of professional sports?

    My advice would be to give 100% on anything you do. Whether it's in sports, planning goals and believe in yourself. If you belivee in yourself and give 100% you can't fail.

    What do you think you bring to the table that will offer "The Problem" and trouble?

    I think that once he realizes I can take his punches and I'm still in front of him, he's going to have to change his strategy. I honestly believe I'm stronger than him and I can hit with both hands my right and my left. I'm going to bring my strength to the ring and use that to my advantage.

    does broner's flamboyant personality motivate you more to win, or do you tune that out?

    It doesn't really matter. I tune it out, it doesn't really do anything to me. It's not the first time I've come across a person like him. It's his personality and that's fine it doesn't bother me. You can say whatever you want but for me I demonstrate all my talking in the ring.

    What do you like to do on your spare time when you're not fighting?

    I basically love to spend time with my family. I have a daughter that was born during fight week. I like to travel, enjoy life and just be with my family. I'm active all year round.

    My sparring partners were Kenny Williams and Xavier Mondalazo.

    What music pumps you in preparation for upcoming fights?:)

    All types but I'm kind of an old school kind of person. I like 80s music. As a kid I used to break dance! Anything like Stevie B or something that gets me in the mood to dance and enjoy myself. That's basically what I like to listen to when I work out.

    I think so. Now is my time to shine. I feel like I'm beginning to master my craft and you're going to see the best of Vicente Escobedo on Saturday.

    What would be your ideal legacy to leave in the ring?

    When it's all said and done I just want to be known as the best out there and the one that always stepped up to the plate.

    In what round do you think you’ll finish Broner?

    I don't like to dictate fights. I go with whatever happens. If we go decision, we go decision. If I hurt him and take him out, I take him out. We'll just stick to the game plan and whatever happens, happens.

    If you weren’t boxing, what line of work do you think you’d be in?

    It's quite a few options. Either work for the LAPD or something that requires me to help people. Whether it's a paramedic, some position in a hospital. I'm just a big fan of helping people. Definitely something in that line of work.

    Do you have a favorite food you treat yourself to?

    My favorite food actually is Thai food. I love Thai food! I'm a huge fan of dining, it's something I don't get to do a lot but I love all types of food.

    I would say Delaney Smith, it brought me to this opportunity with Adrien Broner.

    do you find it hard to have friendships with other boxers?

    Vicente Escobedo says:

    Absolutely not, I don't. We're all in the sport. In the ring they're not your friends because you're competing but afterwards you become friends. I have a lot of friends who are fighters.

    How anxious do you get before a fight?

    Vicente Escobedo says:

    I don't get anxious. I relax, have fun and just enjoy it. If you get too anxious it puts more pressure on a person. If you're relaxed, go in there confident and think about the fight in a relaxed way it'll be ok. I get excited, do what I have to do and just have fun. It's just another day in the office!

    The fight is in Cincy. Are you worried at all about the judging?

    No not at all. From the beginning when this fight was presented to me I wasn't worried at all about the judges.

    does being a professional boxer prepare you for any obstacles in life? good luck sat, all the fans know u always give it %100 in the ring

    Absolutely. It just taught me to be a hard worker, dedicated, responsible. It taught me a lot. Boxing is not just about going in there and fighting. When I retire it's definitely going to lead me to huge opportunities in another profession.

    what is your favorite movie?and also your favorite boxing movie?

    My favorite movie, there's so many! I like Fast Times at Ridgemont High. My favorite boxing movie is Muhammad Ali with Will Smith.

    Chicken, vegetables and some carbs. Pretty simple meal.

    Do you still feel comfortable at 130 or are you looking to move up in the future? ps. good luck man I am rooting for you

    I feel comfortable at 130. It's something I've been comfortable at in the last couple fights. I could possible move up to 135 in the future for a World Championship fight but for now I'm comfortable at 130.

    How will you cope with Broner's speed?

    I'm just going to be smart out there. Timing is everything. Timing and patience is key.

    What was it like being in the olympics?

    Being in the Olympics was a huge life experience. If I could compete every 4 years for the Olympics, I would do it in a heartbeat. It was a dream come true and an experience that could never be taken away from me. Forever I will be known as an Olympian.

    Would you agree that Broner beats up on smaller opponents, and you having fought LW takes away that advantage?

    Yeah, I wouldn't say smaller opponents but I would say opponents not at his level. He's been able to dictate the fight. That's not going to happen with me...I'm definitely going to be a bigger fighter and fight on an elite level. I'm not going to be in control.

    What do you see in Broner's game that you can exploit?

    It seems like he just goes for that one punch at a time. I'm just going to be smarter then him. When he misses or makes a mistake I'm going to take advantage of it.

    What does this fight means to you?

    It means everything to me. It's a huge opportunity for me an my family. A win over Broner would change my career and sky rocket it to the top. I do believe I belong there. It's everything I've been working hard for as a professional.

    Is there anything different you're planning on doing when preparing for Adrien Broner?

    No just stick to the same training. Mentally I'm going to be in a good state of mind. I'm going into this fight more confident and more knowledgeable than him. My mind is the most powerful asset in the ring and with that said, I'm going to use that to my advantage.

    Do you think this fight could be the beginning or end of you career?

    I wouldn't say the end but it could definitely be the beginning. A beginning for a bright future for me.

    Could you talk about the most difficult match you've had?

    Difficult match, I'd have to say Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero. The side of my head was bothering me, the blood was getting into my eyes and making it very difficult for me to fight and see. I readjusted and had to finish the fight.

    Have you faced anyone like an Adrien Broner before?

    Not as fast as Adrien Broner but with a similar style I've had.
